This week we discussed body image and how it is impacted by both internal and external factors. Students worked to plan a body image skit/ positive body image message poster, which will be performed/ completed next week.
December 7, 2018
Students worked to complete their "Internal vs. External Factors" posters, which we then presented in class. After reviewing our learning we began to discuss and connect concepts learned to body image. Next week we will continue our learning by completing skits targeted at helping others when they are struggling with their health.
November 30, 2018
After reviewing the ways in which we can be healthy, we discussed factors that impact our ability to be healthy. Those both within and outside of our control. Students completed their health quiz from last week and began to make "Internal vs. External Factors" posters.
November 23, 2018
This week we summarized our learning from Unit 1 and began Unit 2. Students made discussion notes on the ways we can be healthy physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We then began discussion about factors that may inhibit our ability to be healthy. Students then began a health quiz on those factors that will be completed next week, before looking at the internal and external factors that impact our health.

This week was a short week. We finished our learning about body language and how it impacts the way we communicate with others.
November 9, 2018
This week students presented their decision making skills skits and completed the accompany assignment. We will continue next week with learning about body language and examining how it impacts our communications with others.

This week students learned about decision making within relationships and prepared skits that will be presented next week, along with an accompanying assignment.

Any students who have not yet handed in their H.I.N.T. Posters, need to do so tomorrow.
Septmeber 28, 2018
This week we continued to work through the first Unit, Skills for Effective Relationships. We started to look at bullying and harassment and how they both affect the victim, the bully and the bystander. We will continue with this next week, as students get a chance to review and create posters for our school HINT Policy. (Harassment Is Never Tolerated).
